Christian Epistemic Humility

Christian epistemic humility is easy to come by...

All we have to do is ask all Christians three questions:

1) Form a clear conception in your mind of God that is at once and always one essence and three hypostases.

2) Form a clear conception in your mind of Christ who is fully divine and fully human with no admixture of the divine and human.

3) Explain the process by which the blood of Christ secures reconciliation between humans and God.  (here we are looking for causal explanations that actually explain)

If we know (1-3) then all three must be obtainable. If we struggle in bringing (1-3) to fruition, that only means that these are articles of faith. If we admit the later then we are free. We are free to love. All this to say that (1-3) are a means. They are not ends in themselves. They are intended to serve Christ. If our certainty (as contrived as it may be) prevents us from love, then they (1-3) become idols in themselves.
